See this precious happy joyful face? He was all about climbing this huge climbing structure. He saw some of his older friends playing on it and knew he had to conquer it.
He thought about it for a little while.
Hung on a random bar, before climbing back and on trying again.
Played with his tongue for maximum concentration
Decided he was making a go for it!
starting to be a little fearful
Officially scared and not going any further
My friend, Sharla, and I were standing below it observing. She had just finished telling me the story about her youngest climbing up to the top of the arch and being too afraid to come down.
Sharla had to climb up and rescue him when I realized that my jean skirt wouldn't be the most appropriate attire for climbing on top of an arch.
Once she climbed up there, she wasn't quite sure what to do with him. We convinced him to let go of her for long enough to reach for me. Ahhh, silly guy!
What kind of predicaments have your children found themselves in at playgrounds?
I'm finishing this post off with one of my favorite pictures from this park playdate. Here B is with my friend's beautiful children! I love all their faces!

The "tea cups"...once you get going, someone else has to stop you or you'll spin until you scream or puke or both!
ReplyDeleteHe's just so precious!! I think the worst one of mine has ever done was get stuck in the tubes (I don't know what else to call them!?) at the McDonald's Playland! I had to climb through them all and get him, then slide down that super tight fit slide!!
ReplyDeleteso cute! Luke was just in this predicament the other day. ONly, he had seen his little sister climb up and then turn to go down the other side. Being a competitive boy, he had to show everyone that he is older and braver. NOPE. He got to the top and cried loudly because he was too afraid to turn around. It was a good lesson for him, but I felt for him.
