First and foremost, my wonderful mother and B's Nana. Thank you for bringing up three pretty amazing children! Your patience, kindness, encouragement, love and godliness is an example to all of us. Thank you for being Nana and Aunt to three amazing little guys (two of them my cousins) that aren't biologically related to you. You have adopted them into your hearts as much as we have adopted them. Oh and thanks for being the staff proofreader of Bumber's Bumblings!

My Mother-in-Law and B's Grandma. Thank you for raising such wonderful man that I am so glad to call my husband. His character is reflected in your lives. Thank you for loving B and adopting him into your life as well.

Naomi - Ashley's mom and B's Mom-Mom. You are a wonderful example of a godly mother to me. Thanks for raising three wonderful girls and being an amazing mom-mom to B. Thank you for standing behind your daughter and supporting her in her adoption plan even if it meant saying good-bye to your first grandchild {thankfully you didn't have to do that, but were willing to make that sacrifice}. We are thrilled that you are in our lives.

Kay. I moved to PA as a 21 year old little girl, completely alone. Kay worked across the hall from me and very quickly became my Pennsylvania mother. Mike and Kay never had biological children, but they have opened their hearts and homes to so many people throughout the years. I am one of many people that have been blessed by their love, generosity, and mentorship. They introduced me and Nathan eleven years ago and have continued to be an important part of our lives. Thank you for "adopting" and loving me as your own.

Happy Mother's day to all of you!
Love,
I'm participating in the Open Adoption Roundtable prompt: Write to someone else in the adoption constellation (someone specific or a general group). What do you want to say to them on Mother’s Day?

Funny, I was thinking the same thing about my Mother's Day post - shall I recognize the grief that exists in the day for so many? Or truly celebrate the joy that is in my life and all the gifts I have? Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! *Hearts* Happy Mama's day lady!
