| Watching the snow fall on Saturday morning |
I know those of you who still have infants, don't think too much of 5 a.m., especially if they'd been sleeping since 7 p.m.. Once you become accustomed to your child sleeping that late, it is very hard to flex from that!
I think the main issue is the potty thing. The first week of January, he decided that he was too big for pull-ups at night time and was only going to wear underwear to bed. I was a little terrified, since we had only considered him completely day potty-trained for a couple weeks. He had three accidents that first week, but has been a rock star ever since!

Then I ran back down to our bed and PRAYED and PRAYED every time I heard him make a peep. He had to go potty one more time at 5:30, and then I didn't hear anything else. Ahhh I was able to sleep until 6:30! I jumped into the shower and made it through my routine! Amazingly, he slept until I woke him up at 7:30! I was able to make his lunch for preschool and make our smoothies for the day before he even woke up! He was as sweet as could be this morning. Thank you, Lord!
He is so full of wonder and excitement that I don't think he wants to miss a thing, even at the crack of dawn!

LOL! Even us moms with early risers never get used to it. My kids rarely sleep past 6 a.m. EVER! But, I keep hoping...dreaming? Being DELUSIONAL?!?!
ReplyDeleteYikes, my babies get up between 7 and 8 am (it is 8:05 right now and they are starting to stir), and I am SO thankful. I canNOT do 5am! Yuck! I hope this post began a better streak for you!
